Franklin County, TN Schools

Textbook Adoptions
Grades K - 8

Curriculum Requirements: Each teacher is required to teach the current curriculum standards for their grade level and subject area. A 3-ring binder containing new Curriculum Standards for Social Studies, Math, Science, and Language Arts should be in each teacher’s classroom in grades K-6. The revised curriculum alignment should be used in all academic subject areas in grades 7-12. Each Curriculum Guide contains the correlation of the textbook to the appropriate State Standards, the National Standards for that subject, and the appropriate subtest of TerraNova. Teachers do have flexibility in choosing how they will teach the objectives, as long as they integrate the instructional practices/processes outlined in Curriculum Guides.
